Data Project Engineer II

Work you'll do
As a PROJECT - Data Engineer II on the AI & Data team, you will be responsible for:
Support a large-scale technology services program aligned to the client's information technology strategic mission goals
Build and modernize data pipelines and integrations that streamline processing and improve cost efficiency
Design, integrate, test, and implement data engineering solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
Produce tested, documented deliverables and transition materials for turnover to the Operations and Maintenance (O&M) provider
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on architecture, testing, implementation support, training, and transition activities

The team
Deloitte's Government & Public Services practice serves federal, state, and local government clients, as well as public higher education institutions, with technology, insight, and delivery capabilities designed to support mission outcomes. Within that practice, the AI & Data offering helps clients design, build, and operate data, analytics, and AI platforms and services. This opportunity sits within the Deloitte US Delivery Center model, which provides scalable, standardized, and cost-effective delivery support with nominal travel requirements.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience
Must be able to obtain and maintain the required clearance for this role
3+ years of experience engineering and implementing data and analytics components across planning, design, integration, testing, implementation, and transition activities
3+ years of experience building and maintaining secure data integration solutions across on-premises, hybrid, and multi-cloud environments
3+ years of experience supporting verification and validation, performance analysis, Operations and Maintenance (O&M) transition documentation, and cybersecurity-aligned testing activities
Ability to travel 15%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
Experience supporting government or public sector technology programs
Experience preparing transition materials such as configuration items, diagrams, standard operating procedures, and runbooks
Experience working in lab, test, or pre-production environments for enterprise technology implementations
The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $71,300 to $140,600.
You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
