Job Summary
Join the Program Executive Office, Fires SHIELD Project Office in a dynamic, fast-paced environment supporting the Land-based Phalanx Weapon System (LPWS).
As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will support acquisition logistics and supply chain operations by managing inventory, procurement, and sustainment activities. This role requires applying broad logistics expertise to ensure efficient lifecycle management of assigned materials, while operating within established Army regulations and logistics systems.
Roles and Responsibilities
Serve as Logistics Management Specialist supporting acquisition and sustainment functions for LPWS programs
Manage and execute supply and inventory control for stocked non-stocked, and non-demand items
Perform procurement support, demand planning, and budget-related logistics analysis
Process and validate MILSTRIP requisitions within the Logistics Modernization Program (LMP)
Conduct quality control of requisitions including follow-ups on backorders, cancellations, and discrepancy resolution
Track, receive, inspect, store, issue, and dispose of materials and equipment
Maintain accurate accountability of government property in accordance with Army regulations
Utilize logistics systems including LMP, NAVSUP, DLA portals, ELMS (formerly DPAS), and COLTS
Support inventory management activities including physical inventories and reconciliation
Prepare transportation documentation and funding-related logistics paperwork
Investigate and resolve supply chain discrepancies and ensure data accuracy across systems
Ensure compliance with Army Regulation 735-5 Property Accountability Policies, AR 710-1 Centralized Inventory Management of Army Supply System, and other applicable Army policies
Basic Qualifications
High School diploma with 13 years of relevant experience, OR
Associate degree with 11 years of relevant experience, OR
Bachelors degree with 10 years of relevant experience
Active security clearance
Ability to travel up to 25%
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting U.S. Army acquisition or sustainment programs
Proficiency with LMP, COLTS, NAVSUP, DLA, and ELMS systems
Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or acquisition support
Familiarity with MILSTRIP processes and Army logistics systems
Knowledge of Army property accountability and inventory management regulations
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to supply chain operations
Experience with demand planning, budget tracking, or financial logistics support
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
