Job Overview:The Graduate Assistant for the Men's Basketball program works under the direction of the head coach and assists with the administration of a successful Division III athletic program. Responsibilities include coaching, recruiting, instructing, advising, counseling, and other administrative duties as assigned by the head coach or Athletic Director.
Qualifications Housing, Work Hours & Duties Athletics GA positions may include the option for on-campus housing as part of the tuition compensation package.
GAs who chooses to live on campus are required to work up to 25 hours per week, reflecting additional responsibilities related to both Athletics and Residence Life.
GAs who does not choose the housing option are required to work up to 20 hours per week, focusing primarily on Athletics-related responsibilities.
Primary Responsibilities
Assist with practice and game preparation including video breakdown. Assist in monitoring academic progress of team members in all areas. Assist with player development.
Eligibility & Requirements
Enrollment: Must be currently accepted in a Master program at Albertus Magnus College in one of the following areas:
Accounting (only two spots available)
Business Administration
Criminal Justice
Management and Organizational Leadership
Healthcare Administration (only two spots available)
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in [Microsoft Office/Google Workspace].
Previous experience at the collegiate, club, and/or scholastic levels as a student-athlete and/or coach.
Knowledge of collegiate rules and a demonstrated compliance with said rules.
Relevant work experience may be substituted to meet qualifications for the position.
