Department: Office of Advancement Supervisor: Director of Advancement Operations & Director of Alumni and Parent Engagement
Hours per week: 20 hours a week (Flexible hours within 8:30am-4:30pm. Some evening and weekend hours may be required to assist with events)
Stipend/Benefits: Tuition Waived up to 24 credits & $1000 stipend for the academic year
Role Summary The Graduate Assistant will provide administrative support to the Office of Advancement. This role is designed to provide the student with professional experience in a higher education setting while supporting the operational goals of the department. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can balance their academic workload with supporting event planning, alumni and student engagement, and marketing and communications efforts.
Qualifications Primary Responsibilities
Provides a presence on campus to educate current students about alumni benefits and engage them in programming via the Student Alumni Association. Supports SAA as co-adviser and assist with SAA social media accounts.
Assist with planning and coordination of alumni, parent, and donor events, including event logistics, marketing materials, registration, and attendance tracking
Support the project management and creation of marketing and communications including website, printed materials, emails, and social media - collaborating with external vendors and internal campus partners
Track and analyze data across marketing efforts, engagement initiatives, and event attendance to identify trends, inform strategy, and evaluate performance
Execute stewardship communications such as donor thank you cards, birthday greetings, fund updates, and impact reports
Provide office coverage as needed. Answer phones and direct callers to appropriate offices and coordinate daily operations
Perform data coding and biographical updates in Slate, the Advancement CRM
Eligibility & Requirements
Enrollment: Must be currently accepted in a Master program at Albertus Magnus College in one of the following areas:
Accounting (only two spots available)
Business Administration
Criminal Justice
Management and Organizational Leadership
Healthcare Administration (only two spots available)
Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Workspace with ability to learn new software; excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
