APRIL IS POETRY MONTH: WINNIESPOETRY

Let me not pretend. . ..

candles lit in the prayer
had a double wick.

Each hour brings higher places of Spirit.
I could hear the flicker of the flames and
as they moved as dancing,
wishes
came quietly from me, for two.
Breath.
