Respected cancer expert says breast cancer can be practically "wiped out" by taking vitamin D! (1589 hits)

Speaking at a huge conference held in Toronto Canada, world authority and vitamin D researcher, Dr. Cedric Garland dropped a bombshell that sent shivers through the highly profitable cancer industry… Breast cancer can be virtually “eradicated” by raising vitamin D levels!

Dr Garland stated…“Breast cancer is a disease so directly related to vitamin D deficiency that a woman’s risk of contracting the disease can be ‘virtually eradicated’ by elevating her vitamin D status to what vitamin D scientists consider to be natural blood levels”.

Vitamin D is such a red hot topic in regards to natural cures for breast cancer that over 3000 scientific papers have already been produced this year! In fact, it’s currently the most prolific and talked about subject in natural medicine.

And with good reason.

When you consider that vitamin D reduces the risk of cancers as a whole by 77%, including breast cancer by 50%, you’d think it would be the front page story on every newspaper in the world!

But Wait... There's More...

And here’s something else you need to know about vitamin D as a breast cancer treatment and preventative. Recent findings by St. George’s Hospital Medical School in London found that women with low breast tissue levels of vitamin D actually increase their risk of breast cancer by a whopping 354%!

What’s more, in a world first, the same researchers discovered that breast tissue actually produces a cancer-fighting compound called calcitriol. This compound is known to completely destroy breast cancer tumors!

But here’s the trick.

For the body to make calcitriol, the breast tissue needs vitamin D. And the best way to get vitamin D is from the sun.

This is why researchers recommend women sunbathe everyday with the breasts exposed, to enhance local vitamin D production and produce calcitriol.

Cod liver oil is also rich in vitamin D3 (the same as the sun makes) so supplementing with this oil and taking vitamin D3 supplements - along with receiving plenty of sun exposure - are all incredibly important natural cures for breast cancer.

So you still want more proof on vitamin D as a bona fide breast cancer treatment?

Well, take a look at some of these exciting comments from several of the world’s most highly regarded authors and natural health experts…

Out of every 100 women who might get breast cancer, 50 of them can avoid breast cancer by simply getting adequate levels of vitamin D in their body, and that’s available free of charge through sensible exposure to natural sunlight, which produces vitamin D. This vitamin, all by itself, reduces relative cancer risk by 50 percent, which is better than any prescription drug that has ever been invented by any drug company in the world. Combine that with green tea, and your prevention of breast cancer gets even stronger.

Results of one small study suggested that body stores of vitamin D may be associated with survival chances in women with advanced breast cancer. “Thirteen women with normal or high levels of active vitamin D survived the 6-month test period but, sadly, in those with low levels, 5 out of 13 died within 6 months,” said professor Barbara Mawer of the Manchester Royal Infirmary in central England.

Sun-starved females are at great risk for breast cancer, particularly women living in northern latitudes where wintertime sun exposure produces little vitamin D because of a decline in UV radiation in solar light. Dietary supplements are strongly recommended. Warnings that adults can overdose on vitamin D with daily oral doses exceeding 2,000 units are ill founded. Vitamin D’s ability to inhibit breast cancer cell growth is enhanced by resveratrol, a red wine molecule. Resveratrol increases the vitamin D receptor sites on cells which sensitize the cells to vitamin D.

New and exciting studies suggest that vitamin D does indeed protect against colorectal and breast cancers and that it might be beneficial in the treatment of certain cancers. There is speculation that chronic vitamin D deficiency finally shows up as cancer of the breast and colon.

The collected data showed that individuals in the group with the lowest blood levels of vitamin D had the highest rates of breast cancer, and the breast cancer rates dropped as the blood levels increased. The most astounding finding in this study is that the blood level associated with a 50 percent lower risk of breast cancer could be reached by spending as little as 25 minutes in the sun for darker skinned people, and no more than 10 to 15 minutes for lighter skinned individuals.

When Japanese women move to the United States their vitamin D intake sinks and their breast cancer rates skyrocket. Further, vitamin D slows the rate of growth of cancer cells in lab studies and cuts the rate of cancer in animals in half. The best sources of vitamin D are fatty fish, such as salmon, sardines, mackerel, herring and tuna as well as vitamin-D-fortified milk (make it skim). But the richest source of vitamin D in the world is eel, popular in Japanese sushi bars. – Food Your Miracle Medicine by Jean Carper (available from Amazon.com)

A clinical trial of Vitamin D provided encouraging results. Patients with locally advanced breast cancer were given a highly active vitamin D analogue cream to rub on their tumours. "It was effective in one third of the tumours," said Professor Charles Coombes, clinical oncologist, Charing Cross Hospital, London. - Bartram's Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine: The Definitive Guide by Thomas Bartram (available from Amazon.com)

So at the top of your list of breast cancer cures, the first thing you absolutely must do is make sure you get lots and lots of vitamin D.

Dr Cedric Garland recommends at least 10,000 IU of vitamin D per day for cancer sufferers so you will definitely need to take a high potency vitamin D3 supplement, fish and cod liver oil, and get out in the sun!

In addition, we also recommend you take a potent resveratrol supplement (resveratrol greatly increases the effects of vitamin D) and use a reputable vitamin D cream every day to rub on the tumor for extra benefit.
