GE Appliances’ Senior Area Sales Manager (ASM) for Product Sales is responsible for driving growth of designated product category (water heaters) sales in geography through a highly collaborative approach of working with regional ASM’s and direct selling initiatives that personifies teamwork and ensures orchestration of efforts. Direct responsibilities include prospecting/evaluating & on-boarding of new distributors, assisting regional ASM’s to grow existing water heater accounts and provide regional leadership in the refinement and execution of new selling strategies that specifically grow water heater sales. Working closely with the regional ASM’s, the candidate will co-manage all aspects of the customer experience, increase sales to achieve budgets, and collaborate with national account teams and 3rd party rep firms to execute an overall region sales growth plan specific to designated product sales.

How You'll Create Possibilities
Position located near a major airport in the West or Mid-west with a strong preference for a major city market
Sell the entire portfolio of water heater products to new and existing customers including national and regional distributors; and other channels as deemed necessary to create volume and establish the proper industry presence
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the territory
Execute and achieve all product specific sales plans
Collaboratively develop and introduce customer specific programs and marketing support strategies to drive profitable sales
Prepare and deliver training and product presentations, driving the GEA Air & Water value story
Utilize all sales tools and demonstrate a proficiency with the analysis of data
Resolving customer issues in a timely and accurate manner, establish credibility
Travel required to customers within territory
What You'll Bring to Our Team
Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum of five (5) years outside sales experience.
Minimum of 5 years of industry specific experience with designated product category of: Water heaters
Competitive and winner’s mentality with a ‘never-give-up’ attitude and tenacity to devise solutions to complex problems
A natural team player that is comfortable and efficient working in a highly collaborative manner alongside several regional ASM’s and NAM’s
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous Plumbing or HVAC industry sales experience with a distributor, 3rd party rep firm or OEM manufacturer specific to designated product category of: Water Heaters
Experience in developing and implementing sales territory growth plans through multiple channels to market
Proven ability to build strong long-lasting relationships with customers, management, and peers built on credibility and trust.
Proficient communication, presentation, organizational and negotiation skills
