Inside Sales Representative

How will you make an impact?
The Inside Sales Representative manages a geographic region and is responsible for growing business through inside / outbound sales. This will be accomplished by seeking new sales opportunities, establishing customer solutions, and closing sales with new customers. Purview includes the Recirculating Bath / Chiller and Low Temperature Freezer portfolios.
What will you do?
Develop new sales opportunities through outbound prospecting.
Conduct technical / consultative selling via phone
Provide technical guidance to customers, guide through product selection, and arrange / provide quotes
Close sales and achieve quotas.
Develop territory business plan and frequently update according to key industries, markets, and customers with ability to adapt to changing market conditions
Present benefits and solutions to customers in a way that addresses their needs; use selling techniques to advance the sales cycle; leverages points of agreement to gain buy-in and commitment for moving forward.
Prioritize daily activities, meet goals and timelines and utilize exceptional time management skills.
Utilize Salesforce.com to accurately and effectively track activity and update lead, account, and opportunity information, as well as sales pipeline with a focus on winning business.
Assist in the development of best practices within the lead generation sales process.
Understand and communicate the value of doing business with Thermo Fisher Scientific.
How will you get here?
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in science / technical field required.
2-3 years’ sales experience in industry / technology or related field with high degree of complexity preferred
Demonstrated excellence in oral, written, and presentation communications skills.
Strong Telephone / Email / Video Conferencing communication skills
Demonstrated ability to operate independently, with initiative and good business judgment.
Strong organizational and time management skills, ability to effectively learn and utilize on-line CRM application and social media resources to grow territory.
Demonstrated success in developing/prospecting new business.
Capacity to absorb complex information and apply it accurately and quickly.
Experience and ability to build and maintain cross-departmental, multi-functional and collaborative relationships preferred. Knowledge and experience with business software applications including MS Outlook Suite (Outlook, Word, Power Point, Excel,) and virtual communication tools required.
